"What's So Funny?"

An introduction  to comic science in storytelling.

Where does laughter come from?  What makes a thing funny?  Can a teller facilitate a laugh in his audience?

In this workshop Ed Stivender will offer some ideas about the mechanisms and dynamisms that affect the storytelling moment, especially when we are trying to be funny, including practical tips on bombing gracefully.

Workshop needs:  Flip chart with black markers, portable lectern, stand-up microphone, water for participants, flexible seating.
