Theology of Partyology

The image of Jesus as a "Party Person" may seem incongruous as presented in "The Kingdom of Heaven is Like a Party".  This workshop will explore the scriptural basis for the image, as well as the source of the incongruity – The Puritan Work Ethic.  After looking at some historical sources of the myth we will try to develop an alternative view of Christianity as the call to Celebration Steward-ship.
